The “Four Gentlemen,” or “Four Noble Ones,” is a group of four plants long-viewed to represent the Chinese virtues of purity, humility, perseverance, and uprightness. Collectively, they are a recurring theme in art since the Song Dynasty ( 960 - 1279 ).
Plum Blossom
